Everyone talks about AI, but what does it actually do?
A hands-on example —a CRM with a custom GPT— showing that AI's value isn't the tool, but how it changes the way you work.
Everyone talks about AI. But many wonder: "What does it actually do?"
Let me explain with a simple, practical example.
I designed a basic CRM with a fictional database. Then I built a custom GPT that can:
- Generate, search and qualify leads
- Update records automatically
- Follow up and manage next steps
That's how the "magic" happens behind the scenes: on the left, the GPT; on the right, the database and a Gmail account. (In daily use, you just talk to the GPT.)
I know this isn't new. More advanced tools exist. But the point here isn't the tool. It's how it changes the way we work and what we spend our time on.
- Hours saved on repetitive, manual, low-value tasks (filtering, writing emails, updating data)
- You design it yourself, tailored to how you work
- You keep full control of your data
You don't need to know how to code. Or hire vendors. Just use AI to do what you already do… faster and more consistently.
Now imagine this applied across the whole company, or to processes like:
- Customer feedback
- Talent management and training
- Commercial reporting and performance
That's when AI starts to generate ROI. Not because it's a sophisticated tool, but because teams apply it with intent, where it matters most.
Because without adoption, there's no scale. And without scale, there's no ROI.
